Welcome!
Mountain dulcimers are not as well known out west as in other parts of the country, but we have been helping to change that since we first got together in March 2003. Three Rivers Dulcimer Society (based in the Tri-Cities,Washington) continues to grow as people learn about us and hear us play. Folks in our group play mainly Appalachian mountain dulcimers, but we also have hammered dulcimers, mandolins, fiddles, guitars, penny whistles, bodhrans, flute, Irish harp, harmonica, cello and bass. We welcome all ages, abilities, and acoustic instruments!

Besides our twice monthly jams and periodic performances around town, for the past SIX years we have participated in the Three Rivers Folklife Society-sponsored Tumbleweed Festival on Labor Day weekend by hosting a “Jammin’ in the Key of D” workshop. It is a great 2 days of all kinds of music, all free (except for the evening concert on Saturday), all over Howard Amon Park in Richland, WA.
We offer free lessons on mountain dulcimers at our practice sessions. Newcomers are always welcome!
