Cream of Tomato Soup 9/22/08 3 ½ C cut up tomatoes or 1 1 lb. can of tomatoes 2 T minced onion ¼ tsp celery seed ½ tsp salt ½ tsp sugar Pinch basil Cut up peppers Cook together 15 minutes. 2 T butter 2 T flour ½ tsp salt Melt butter, add flour, stir together. 2 C milk (any kind) Dash pepper Add to butter and flour. Cook til bubbly. Add to tomato mixture with a pinch of soda. It will foam up, so don’t be surprised. Even the leftovers are delicious.
