Welcome!

Mountain dulcimers are not as well known out west as in other parts of the country, but we have been helping to change that since we first got together in March 2003. Three Rivers Dulcimer Society (based in the Tri-Cities,Washington) continues to grow as people learn about us and hear us play. Folks in our group play mainly Appalachian mountain dulcimers, but we also have hammered dulcimers, mandolins, fiddles, guitars, penny whistles, bodhrans, flute, Irish harp, harmonica, cello and bass. We welcome all ages, abilities, and acoustic instruments!

Tumbleweed Music Festival is Labor Day Weekend!
There are a number of dulcimer events on the schedule,
including our annual Jam in D.
Details here.

Our group has participated in the Prosser Scottish Fest for several years now. Here is a picture of the players performing this June. You can see some of the Highland Games going on in the background.

In June, several of our local players attended Heidi Muller's Mountain Dulcimer class in Wallowa Oregon. You can see by their smiles below they had a great time!

Since we have so many new players, we remind them to peek at New links and more things for Beginners (including tab reading and tips on buying a dulcimer.)

Last Year at Tumbleweed
